In our second unity service of the year, we continue to focus on what truly brings us together.  Is it pragmatism? A desire to be social? A good deed? or is it God?  We look to Isaiah for the answer and find that it is much more than God, "it is The Holy One of Israel!"  and like Isaiah, we might find that it is a very Traumatic Experience

This is Trinity Sunday and in this week's sermon we examine Christ's meeting with the Pharisee and Ruler of the Jews, Nicodemus.  It is a familiar Biblical account that is often the topic of sermons and Bible Studies.  However, all too often, we quickly read through it without carefully looking at exactly what was said.  A close examination of the words of Christ and Nicodemus opens a whole new world of the hope, fulfillment and joy that comes through Jesus' explanation of the need to be "Born Again.".

This is Pentecost Sunday and we begin the longest season of the Church Year.  But, let's not get ahead of ourselves!  We still have one more lesson from Easter that sets the stage for Pentecost.  It's "The Three Convictions" that Christ had told His disciples about right before His arrest.  Three convictions that come from the Holy Spirit.  Three convictions that are at the very heart of Peter's Pentecost Sermon.

This Sunday we come to the end of the Easter season and also celebrate Ascension Day.  In this week's sermon,  "The Three Joys," we see that Christ gave His disciples a command, a promise and a commission.  And yet, He gave them much more.  He gave them His Joy.
